Rooster Wins Additional Bermuda Brief

Leading travel and lifestyle agency consolidates PR activity with comprehensive sales and marketing contract

The Bermuda Department of Tourism has awarded leading PR and marketing agency, Rooster, a contract to handle the organisation’s sales and marketing in the UK & Ireland.

This consolidates Rooster’s existing remit as the PR agency for the island – a role it has fulfilled for the past four years.

“Bermuda is aggressively expanding its presence in the UK and Irish markets through the implementation of significant PR and marketing initiatives in 2010/11. Rooster has played a key role in raising the profile of the island over the last four years and we are excited to build on our relationship with the agency using a strategic mix of marketing and PR activity,” says William Griffith, Director of Tourism, Bermuda Department of Tourism.

As part of the island’s renewed efforts to increase international tourism arrivals, Rooster’s brief is to drive a 25 per cent increase in visitors to the island. Immediate initiatives include a taxi campaign featuring pink liveried taxis driven by ambassador drivers who have experienced the island first hand. This will be closely followed by a UK Roadshow in April with flagship media and trade events on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th April respectively.
