Air Europa, the Latin American specialist, celebrates the second anniversary of its successful twice daily London Gatwick to Madrid service today (29th March 2011).

Since the launch in 2009 Air Europa has taken 136,555 passengers on its London Gatwick to Madrid route on 1,325 flights*. This year is set to be even better as the airline introduces Mexico City to its extensive list of Latin American destinations.

Despite launching at the height of the recession and riding out some of the toughest times the travel industry has ever seen, Spain’s largest privately owned airline has grown from strength to strength. Via the twice daily London Gatwick to Madrid service, Air Europa now connects UK travellers to 11 destinations across South America, the Caribbean and the USA.

Air Europa’s most popular destinations for UK passengers are Buenos Aires and Havana, followed by Lima and Miami, which were launched in 2010.
